BioSome random facts about me, just so everyone knows what they're getting into.
Who am I?
I'm a young woman from Germany currently attending university. I'm partly associated with Wicca and a rather spiritual person. I believe astrology offers fascinating insights. I'm really left-wing when it comes to politics. I'm an idealist and a romantic. I'm cynical and have a dark, twisted sense of humour. I'm a former Goth and I still very much sympathize with the phenomenon. I'm not that fond of society and it's dynamics and I tend to be suspicous of groups and *their* assorted dynamics. Anything remotely resembling the phenomenon of "mobbing" tends to send me on the war-path. I think too much for my own good and I tend to turn the most trivial issue into a philosophical debate. I believe freedom means responsibility. I believe in tolerance and in not forcing others to take your point of view, however strongly you might feel about it. I do occassionally get carried away, though. Just grab my legs and pull me back to earth. I won't mind. Much.
I love to read although I find it difficult to find books that don't drive me up the wall in frustration. I'm addicted to reading fanfiction. I will forever be grateful to Karl May for showing me the magic of books at the age of eight. I love Tolkien. I worship Schiller and Don Carlos makes me cry. I love poetry.
I almost never watch TV. The only movie quote that makes me cry is Oscar Schindler's: "I could have saved so many more.", and Stern's answer: "Who saves one life, saves the entire world."
I tend to spend about fifty percent of my life in some imaginary world far away, because I find reality incredibly boring. I write stories, preferring my own to writing fanfiction. Whether I share what I write is another question altogether.
I've got an unhealthy obsession with several historical and/or fictional characters, including at the moment Arthur Wellesley, Sherlock Holmes and Anthony Blunt. I'm still very fond of Hornblower and Sharpe.
I love my friends, online and RL, and I care very deeply about them.
All of this does not always play an obvious part in what I post, but most of it is always there in the background. This is my own save haven on the internet.
